From the Director's Cabin
The past thirty years as a civil engineer have been a great learning experience for me. Luckily, I have been associated with the best of the best in the construction industry.

Fourteen years ago, when I diversified from core building construction to ventilated facades, little did I know that the path from there to here would be packed with so much excitement every day.

I have been fortunate enough to work on the best ventilated façade systems, be it using high-pressure laminates or klinkered clay or mineral fibre sheets. Agreeably, all these were and still are really good. When I was the principal importer for a klinkered clay panel-based ventilated façade system from Europe for a few years, I got an incredible opportunity to study the systems and explore improvisations.
But one thing continued to disturb me—all these systems were always imported, always manufactured overseas. Why? Why couldn’t they be made here? Why must the best always come from the West? These questions haunted me for years to come. This little thought sparked a fiery ambition—to design, develop, and manufacture a ventilated façade system made in India, and made for the tropical climate of India.
After three-odd years of rigorous efforts, countless trials on a variety of materials and fixing details, and investing in countless samples and prototypes, I present to you Mascara (Add logo here). It gives me great pleasure along with a sense of immense pride to present to you a ventilated façade system that is completely indigenous, robust, environment-friendly, and energy-conserving, with smart aesthetics and excellent engineering properties made in India and for India.
Cheers,
